About Eelam Sports

Our Story

Eelam Sports is a sports blog and news platform built for fans who live and breathe volleyball, kabaddi, and beyond. We publish in-depth player profiles, team analyses, match previews, and season guides — with a particular focus on Indian professional leagues including the Pro Kabaddi League and the Prime Volleyball League.

Our coverage spans team spotlights on franchises like Dabang Delhi, Bengaluru Bulls, Tamil Thalaivas, Patna Pirates, Telugu Titans, U.P. Yoddha, and Gujarat Giants, as well as individual athlete features — from Pankaj Sharma's rise with Bengaluru Torpedoes to Piotr Pamulak's impact on the kabaddi mat.

Our Roots

The domain has a deeper history within the Tamil Eelam sports community. In earlier years, it served as the online home of the Sports Council of Tamil Eelam, headquartered in Kilinochchi — reflecting a longstanding commitment to using sport as a force for community identity and personal development.

Today, Eelam Sports carries that spirit forward through independent sports journalism, connecting fans across the diaspora and beyond with the games and athletes they care about.

What We Cover

• Volleyball — Player journeys, Prime Volleyball League coverage, training insights, and team dynamics.
• Kabaddi — Pro Kabaddi League match previews, team profiles, points tables, and international player spotlights.
• Sports News — Broader updates and stories from the world of sport, continuing a tradition of community-focused reporting.

Eelam Sports was born from a simple observation: passionate fans of volleyball and kabaddi deserve coverage that matches the intensity they bring to every match. While mainstream outlets often skim the surface, we dig deeper into the stories behind the scores. From the thunderous roar of a packed indoor stadium to the quiet discipline of a training session, our writers capture the full spectrum of the sporting experience. We believe that every player, from seasoned veterans to rising newcomers, has a narrative worth telling, and we are committed to bringing those stories to life on a regular basis.

Our coverage of Indian professional leagues reflects a genuine appreciation for the skill and strategy that define modern kabaddi and volleyball. We follow teams like the Patna Pirates, Bengaluru Bulls, and Tamil Thalaivas with the same level of detail and respect we afford their opponents, understanding that great sport is built on rivalry and mutual excellence. Whether it is a last-second raid, a spectacular block at the net, or a season-defining comeback, our match analysis breaks down the key moments that shape outcomes. Readers can rely on us for honest, informed commentary that adds context to every competition.

Beyond match reports and league standings, Eelam Sports is dedicated to profiling the people who make these games unforgettable. We tell the stories of experienced defenders who anchor their squads, raiders who carry the hopes of entire cities, and young players working their way up through the ranks. Our player features explore the training routines, mental preparation, and personal journeys that rarely make it into standard highlight reels. By shining a light on the human side of sport, we hope to inspire the next generation of athletes and deepen the connection fans feel to the teams they support.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains unchanged: to serve the volleyball and kabaddi community with reliable, engaging, and thoughtful journalism. We publish season schedules, team previews, and player spotlights throughout the year, ensuring that our readers never miss a beat between tournament legs and league phases. We value the trust of our audience and work hard to maintain it through accurate reporting and balanced perspectives. Whether you are a lifelong devotee or a newcomer discovering these sports for the first time, Eelam Sports is here to guide you through every serve, tackle, and triumph.
